Monaco Grand Prix: Preview - Red Bull

Max Verstappen: "We made some positive steps forward in Miami and the pace is a lot closer to where we need to be.

"I felt like we were able to extract a better performance from the car and I felt more comfortable. However, we will keep pushing as there are always things we can improve and work on, which is how we operate as a Team. Monaco is always reliant on good strategy and, as always here, it will be key to get the best result in Qualifying. It has been nice to have a bit of time to reset before the double header and good to be close to home and be able to see family especially when it is a hectic weekend on and off track."

B Hodgkinson - Technical Director, Red Bull Powertrains: "Formula 1 is all about winning, but this first podium finish powered by our own Power Unit is definitely something worth celebrating, in recognition of the scale of what's been achieved in such a short space of time. Red Bull Ford Powertrains is a newcomer, competing against some of the biggest names in the automotive industry and in motor sport. Going head-to-head with them at the front of the field is something the entire team can be proud of. There's still a long way to go, and we know the gap to the front-runners is significant, but we're learning fast, building capability, and pushing in the right areas. We're excited for the next few races as we continue that progression and chase our first win in this new era of Formula 1, where new teams and manufacturers have chosen to compete and develop within the sport."
