Pirelli reveals Austria compounds

NEWS STORY
28/04/2016

Pirelli will take the P Zero Yellow soft, P Zero Red supersoft and P Zero Purple ultrasoft to the ninth round of the 2016 season in Austria, to be held (June 30 - July 3) on the Spielberg circuit.

The soft and supersoft must be used at some point in the race. Each driver will have both these sets available for the race, and must use at least one of them.

Each driver must also save for Q3 one set of the ultrasofts. This set will be given back to Pirelli after Q3 for those who qualify in the top 8, but the remaining drivers will keep it for the race - as is the case currently.

The teams are free to choose the remaining 10 sets; making up 13 sets in total for the weekend.

By this time, the ultrasoft will have been used in both the Monaco and Canadian Grands Prix.
