We look at some of the most notable new changes and tricks that the public noted during the F1 testing.

It's been a rather busy season for F1, as they dealt with some controversial results, like the Pocono DQ, yet experienced a lot of growth in terms of fans and revenue earned.

The 2023 Formula 1 (F1) testing season has kicked off with teams unveiling their latest technological innovations. The first round of testing took place in Barcelona, Spain, from March 7-10, 2023. This is the first time that teams have been able to showcase their latest developments since the previous season ended. The F1 teams have been working hard to come up with new technological advancements that will help them gain an edge over their rivals.

Technological Tricks Revealed To The Public During F1 Testing

We'll now look at some of the most notable new changes and tricks that the public noted during the F1 testing.

Red Bull

Red Bull RB19 provided us with a wealth of information to study. Fans found out that the nose's width has expanded at its tip and that a NACA duct, rather than the oval-shaped intake utilized the previous season, is being used for cooling this year.

Fans also noted that Red Bull fitted a winglet to deal with the outwash effect on the inboard rear lower corner of the front wing endplate.

In order to determine whether the bodywork was meeting its aerodynamic goals during the first preseason testing session, Red Bull sprayed flow-vis paint on its vehicle, as many of the other teams did.

Red Bull applied flow visualization with greater attention on the downwash ramp at the rear three-quarters of the sidepods because it was seeking visual evidence of the airflow's effectiveness.

In addition to these new developments, fans can now place bets on F1 races via the Borgata Online Casino and Sportsbook. This is a great opportunity for F1 enthusiasts to get in on the action and possibly make some money while watching their favorite teams compete.

And when you are done with placing bets on F1 races, why not try some slots? The 88 Fortunes slot follows a classic five-reel, three-row layout with 243 possible paylines. Be sure to check it out.

Mercedes

Mercedes has mounted winglets in the lower rearmost inboard corner of the endplate, which matches the company's ongoing goal to create outwash.

Fans took note of the three checkered stickers that are attached to the top of the endplate. These serve as landmarks for the high-speed camera that is positioned to look at them from the nosecone area.

This video will be examined to determine how much the endplate flexes under load, to verify compliance, and to determine whether there is still room for further flex to be added in.

Ferrari

In order to maintain the highest possible chassis height elsewhere, Ferrari has built a keel section for the rear leg of the lower wishbone. This is comparable to other competitors' front suspensions, which are somewhat more inclined for aerodynamic benefits.

AlphaTauri

We got a good look at the new edge wing on the AlphaTauri AT04's floor, which shares some similarities with McLaren's design from last season and is also present on the MCL60.

The flap contains many flow-diverting components and is elevated above the floor level to assist concentrate the airflow as it emerges from under the floor.

This will lessen any negative consequences that the front tire's turbulent wake may have, which may otherwise be absorbed by the underfloor and harm the aerodynamic efficiency of the vehicle.
