MotoGP sensation Valentino Rossi has ruled out a switch to Formula One, at least for the time being.

"There will be no F1, at least for the moment," said the Italian, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. "I will continue in MotoGP."

The Italian, who is contracted to Yamaha until the end of 2006, made a special point of thanking the Ferrari team.

"It has been a wonderful experience, both from a technical point of view and from a personal standpoint. I have met some wonderful people.

"I wish to thank (Luca di) Montezemolo, (Jean) Todt and the entire team," he continued. "However, I feel that my job in motorcycling is not yet ended. I have many stimuli and I will therefore continue in MotoGP for the time being.

"I wish Ferrari Luck in achieving the same objective as I have, to win the World Championship title."
