"@kenji

The problem with the track limits is that everyone was allowed to abuse them for the first half of the race until they were informed mid race that they were no longer allowed too, as reported on Sky F1. The stewards have been inconsistent about the track limits all weekend which doesn't help anyone at all.have a fast car yet.

I disagree about Mercedes, they clearly have the slower car, not by much, but the rate at which Max was catching him at some points was huge, especially in some of the sectors. Also if Lewis had to abuse the track limits to keep wishing striking distance in the first half of the track the and Max didn't (apart from the overtake) then that also shows that clearly Mercedes don't have a similar performance package.

At the end of the day this was not Lewis's race to win, everyone was clear on that one, Red Bull & Max were the fastest in all 4 sessions. Lewis's driving on those much older tyres was pretty special and should silence a few voices out there."

"@ Bruce Boy... Not so fast. Hamilton abused the track limits, as reported, some 29 times! Now why would he do that? Becaue he gained an advantage otherwise he'd stay away if the converse applied. Verstappen was rightly penalised for his transgression, no argument about that but Hamilton benefited undoubtedly. The who;e track limits argy bargy is like kindergarten. There is a white line that defines the track limits, otherwise why is it there. Put four wheels over it and you're out! Simple. As for the fastest car...Mercedes are IMO almost identical in performance. The differences are aero and Mercedes have have been squealing like a bunch of porkers accompanied by the biggest squealer of all, Szafnauer. They were lucky to win last night."

"So no one can say that he only wins because he is in the best car. That was Max & Red Bulls to lose, simple as......and they lost. How he worked those tyres out another 10 or so laps was remarkable. Was awesome seeing them battle, just how F1 should be, but Lewis keep it on the road and held him back. Just brilliant"
