Rubens rewrites history

NEWS STORY
26/08/2004

As Michael Schumacher heads towards his seventh drivers' title, Ferrari's sixth consecutive constructors' championship sewn up in Hungary, it sometimes seems that Ferrari have been winning (non-stop) for as long as we can remember.

Of the 699 Grands Prix the Italian team has contested thus far, it has won 179, 63 of them courtesy of the German.

However, no matter how dominant Ferrari appears, and no matter how many records are broken in the months and years to come, we can't help but feel that Rubens Barrichello is getting a little carried away.

Talking at today's press conference, the Brazilian said that the team is hoping for a good weekend as it celebrates its "700th anniversary".

We know what you mean Rubens, it merely seems as though Michael and the red cars have been winning that long.
