Fast cars, high speeds, and luxury!

Gumball 3000 is returning as usual in June 2019, and as always it's expected to be a lot of celebrities when the famous events celebrate 20 years. This time the race is from Mykonos, Greece to Ibiza, Spain, it's the year of the Islands during 2019. As always the drivers will keep the police busy dealing with giving fines too high speed-drivers. Since the event is celebrating 20 years, a book was released - "20 Years on the Road" - where the high lights of the twenty years since the race became active. Like a lot of times before, Betsafe is sponsoring the event.

The Battle of the Islands

The name makes a lot of sense since the race starts and finishes on Island. Every year it's 4800 kilometers that the drivers have to drive on this exciting journey that 2019 begins in Mykonos, Greece and ends at Ibiza, Spain. In between the party islands, there are eight different stops, but as always it's not announced. Instead, it's a secret until the race starts. The 7th - 15th of June is the dates for this year's Gumball 3000, and as always there will be a lot of champagne and other magnum bottles of luxury drinks when the party 2019 is expected to be extra crazy since the destinations are Europes most crazy party islands.

Since it's an anniversary as well, the event will most likely be extra maximized 2019. There are always great parties, but it's not public yet where the race will take place in between the first and final destination. If you look at a map and sees what's in between Mykonos and Ibiza the logic says that Croatia, old Yugoslavia, Italy and, France are good guesses. No matter what you can rely on a good party when Gumball 3000 celebrates 20 years.

How did Gumball 3000 become famous all over the world?

Maximillion Cooper is the founder of this controversial race. His carrier is unique since he has been doing a lot of different stuff during the run. Except being an entrepreneur, he collects art and is a designer. He has a Bachelor in Film Law, and during his studies, his interest in racing was born. He had a lot of successful years as a driver for both McLaren and Porsche.

Cooper wanted to create an event that combined his interest in racing, popular culture, and entertainment. Therefore he invited some influential friends to join him on a road trip in Europa. They stayed in several cities, arranging parties that had celebrities like Kate Moss, Johny Knoxville attending. Newspapers like Forbes and GQ wrote about the event as a "must do," and very fast it became trendy and Gumball 3000 was born.

Betsafe is sponsoring the event

Like many other years, Betsafe casino is sponsoring the event. This internet casino seems to have a big love for Gumball 3000, and during the race 2015, that started in Stockholm, Betsafe had an own car during the whole run. What role the sponsor will have during 2019 is yet to be seen but that the famous gambling operator is sponsoring Gumball 3000 is already public. "The battle of Islands" is ready soon and as always it's gonna be interesting to see how the event goes when they celebrate 20 years on the road.
