Formula One or F1 has grown into one of the most popular sports of all time.

The single-seating auto racing league held its first season in 1950. Formula One is so immensely popular because it features the fastest race cars in the world. Drivers often reach top speeds of 230 miles per hours. Over the past few months, the world of F1 has made some big news. The league recently implemented new regulations which caused the engines to get smaller. In return, turbochargers were installed to make up for the decreased power. Unfortunately, fans were not happy with the fact that this greatly reduced the roar of the engine. The Historic Grand Prix has attempted to replicate the golden days of F1. Each race features cars which are split into different groups based on their age.

The ages range from pre-war to the 1980s. The sound is absolutely amazing. The vehicles are loud enough to make spectaculars brains rattle. During this weekend's races, Ronnie Kessel was in attendance. Kessel is the boss of Kessel Classic. On top of that, he is also the son of Loris Kessel, who raced. One of the cars featured was the one that Ronnie's father drove during his prime. It is also important to note that F1 recently implemented new rules, which are scheduled to be implemented at the start of the 2019 season. Some teams are not happy with the move.

The chief technical officer of the Renault team insists that the overtaking-oriented aero rules do not do justice to the research performed by teams. Some of the upcoming changes include a simplified front wing, wider and deeper rear wing, and a simplified brake duct. These changes were actually approved by the F1 commission just last month. The research and development department for F1 finalized the changes. Teams were also encouraged to conduct their own research. The FIA insists that these new changes would improve racing and overtaking.

Teams that supported the proposals were actually outnumbered by those against it. Bob Bell believed that changing the design of the cars to improve overtaking would be a good thing. However, he is not satisfied with the way the process was rushed. Boss of the Red Bull team, Christian Horner, has also criticized the changes. Initially, he said that they were rushed through and were based on immature research. He believes that they're going to establish an even bigger divergence on the F1 grid. It is unknown how these changes will actually impact the upcoming series. Fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
