On 14 September the first ever Zoom auction of photos taken by all of the Formula One drivers and team bosses took place in London and earlier today Pitpass analysed a fascinating revelation from the event regarding the star power and staying power of Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher. The auction wasn't the end of the story for Zoom though as the event will be an annual fixture on the F1 calendar. Fans who couldn't come along to the event don't have to miss out so long as they are quick.

The live auction consisted of half of the total 50 photos with the remainder put into an online auction at CoysThe photos in the online auction tend to include the ones taken by drivers who have strong fan bases in far flung countries as they are unlikely to have been able to come to the live event.

All the photos are signed by the driver or team principal who took them and all the proceeds go to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Anyone who wants to bid will have to get a move on though since the online auction closes on Friday evening.

The photos available include gems such as Christian Horner's snap of his pet dog, the view inside Heikki Kovalainen's motorhome, Kamui Kobayashi's incredibly artistic shot of rolling clouds from Mount Fuji and one (above) which shows off Kimi Raikkonen's wild side as Pitpass has already covered in detail.

We all know that the way online auctions tend to work is that there is a large rush in the last 24 hours but you never know, there could be some bargains here as many of the photos still have starting bids at just £50. It's not often that you can say things are good-value in F1 but if the photos stay at that price they certainly will be.
