Todt denies road car link with Spyker

NEWS STORY

Speaking in the wake of the announcement that Spyker will use Ferrari engines in 2007, Jean Todt has denied that the deal has anything to do with the Dutch car manufacturer's 'road cars'.

"It has nothing to do with road cars," said the Frenchman. "I respect them. I had the opportunity of looking at their road cars a bit more at Pebble Beach where I was in August, but the agreement is only Formula One... exclusively Formula One."

Clearly having a dig at the recent speculation, led by the 'usual suspects', the Frenchman grinned, and added: "Exclusively in Formula One!"

"Honestly," he continued, "the road car connection is bullshit, nothing more. It's not something I normally say, but any kind of speculation on that is completely losing time.

"Though maybe good for internet feeding," he added.
