"Stewards are idiots, complete idiots. They are ruining the sport, I hate this.
Now the message is clear - if you follow the rules, you lose your place. If you don't follow them - you have good chances to keep your position. Max broke the rules and finished 4th instead of 5th he should have got. Even giving him 5th is not a penalty, this was the place he had to finish had he just driven be the rules, and breaking should be penalized! But if you want to penalize Vettel, then make sure he is ahead of Max, how stupid can you be to put him behind Max?

Ricciardo deserved the 3rd place, but then RBR should be penalized for breaking the rules with one driver for the advantage for another. Like Briattore was once."

"Two amendments to the result aleady before any protests are lodged.
Great for the sport's image!"

"Verstappen is a spoiled child who needs to be brought under control before he is responsible for a serious incident. His action today reflects his gross immaturity and failure to comply with orders. He should have been Black flagged when he continually failed to give up the position. The stewards dropped the ball big time on this one. "

"So... Am I the only one upset about the ineptness of the race stewards - again!???

Everyone knows Verstappen needs a little assistance in properly interpreting the rules, so them not being on the horn to Red Bull immediately is simply unforgivable. Huge credit to Red Bull for calling it out to their driver right away, not that he got the message. Obviously. Investigating after the race, my #$$...

And then, just a 5 second penalty. Yeah, that will teach the driver to give pack the position voluntarily the next time. Not... A 60 second penalty might have gotten that message through, but clearly none of the stewards has kids and knows how to set an example. Or maybe they do. And if they happen to be spoiled brats the reason for this was right here for the entire world to see...

Huge cudo's, though, to Riccardo for trying to take advantage, and to both him and Vettel for keeping it together and have both cars get away without lost parts. That way, at least, the puny, ridiculous, penalty Vestappen eventually got at least meant two places dropped!

But, still. How not fitting for something claiming to be the pinnacle of motorsport to not be able to sort this out in real time. It really is not that difficult (and I an absolutely willing to show up and prove this at any any GP, any time the FIA would want to call me on this :-)...
