BBC confirms race schedule for 2015

NEWS STORY
07/01/2015

The BBC has confirmed that it will offer live coverage of half of this season's twenty Grands Prix.

Korea dropped and the annual gave of 'one-potato, two potato' over, the BBC has announced details of which Grands Prix it will cover live this year and those that will feature highlights only.

Whilst Sky, providing you are willing (and able) to pay for a whole range of sports you might have absolutely no interest in, will continue to give live coverage of all twenty races, including practice sessions and qualifying, the BBC will broadcast only ten races live.

Once again, it will miss the season opener, Monaco and Italy, though it will cover Canada and Belgium and both final races - assuming the championship goes down to the wire again.

The races the BBC will have full live coverage of are Malaysia, Bahrain, Canada, Britain, Hungary, Belgium, Japan, Russia, Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

"If this helps anyone, for me, I do not pay (for F1) in my sky package, its included in the main sky TV (non sports) package but I do not obviously have all the other sports, as you say that " we have no interest in". I do need sky for other programmes (damm it) so having F1 included is a bonus! Needless to say its like a commercial property lease "upwardly" costs only! No way out it seems grrr"

"I'm happy to have live Japan, but would like to have seen USA rather than Bahrain.
I am one of those mentioned by Chris in the article: I just can't bring myself to pay for the Sky package as I would not be watching any of the other sports."

"Grrr live Japan is pointless! I wish they'd swap that for USA."
