Former Red Bull man to head Ferrari brand development programme

Ferrari has announced that former Dany Bahar, former right-hand man to Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz, is to head a new department at Maranello created with developing the Ferrari brand.

A statement issued this afternoon read as follows:

Ferrari announces that it has set up a Global Brand Department, a new business unit that will operate alongside the Gestione Industriale and the Gestione Sportiva in the Company structure.

The function of the department is to manage and develop the Ferrari brand on a worldwide scale. Heading up the Department is Dany Bahar, who reports in to the Company Managing Director.

Bahar has been linked with a role at Ferrari since the beginning of the year, when it was first revealed that he had quit Red Bull. however, it was widely assumed that he would be taking up a senior position with the race team.
