A lesson in tact

NEWS STORY
03/05/2007

Enjoying a year out, which mostly sees him fishing, Ross Brawn recently broke cover to voice his opinion on a range of issues, including his plans for the future.

Now that he spends his Sunday afternoons on the couch in front of the TV, as opposed to running operations from the pit-wall, Ross has discovered the joys of F1 TV broadcasting, and finally come to realise what many fans have been saying for years.

Referring to ITV, the Englishman has admitted that he is surprised, given the amount of information available to them, that the British broadcaster fails to pass it on to viewers. Indeed, the Englishman admits to finding the coverage frustrating.

In a masterpiece of tact however, he refused to refer to the recent Hamilton 'love fest', which sees various members of the ITV team almost squirming with delight each time they mention his name.

Whenever Steve Rider goes dewy-eyed, slightly breathless and possibly a little moist, F1 fans throughout the country finally come to appreciate the appeal of fishing.
