Trulli blasts Sato

NEWS STORY
09/10/2005

Jarno Trulli has hit out at Takuma Sato, after being eliminated from the Japanese Grand Prix by the BAR driver.

The Japanese driver, who had previously been involved in a first lap incident with Rubens Barrichello, made a move on the Toyota driver which didn't work, forcing the Italian into retirement.

Speaking moments after the incident, Trulli was clearly enraged: "He's a very dangerous person," said the Italian. "It's been like this for many years, the Federation (FIA) must take some action."

Later, once he'd calmed down a little, Trulli was still fiercely critical of the BAR driver, who has lost his 2006 seat to Rubens Barrichello.

"Sato tried a manoeuvre that was obviously impossible," he said. "He just tried to overtake me but instead he hit me and pushed me off. There was no reason to try that move so I don't know what he was thinking.

"He's been causing problems for a long time and the FIA has to take action to stop it," he added.
