Ahead of this weekend's season finale in Brazil, McLaren's David Coulthard has admitted that his options for 2005 are severely limited, and that he may have to sit out next season.

"As I have stated I am not ready to retire," said the Scot. "I believe I have the pace, desire and ability to be competitive.

"I am continuing to try and get a drive next year," he added, "but if I don't then I'll try the following year."

This weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix is the Scot's 150th race for McLaren, and brings to an end a nine-year partnership.

"There is no denying that Brazil will be a weekend of mixed emotions for me," said Coulthard, "as it has been a great nine seasons with the team.
