Ralf Schumacher will race in Japan

Despite reports elsewhere suggesting that WilliamsF1 is to drop Ralf Schumacher for the final two races of the season, we can confirm that the German will be competing in Japan.

A 'high level source' at WilliamsF1 has told Pitpass that "Ralf will be racing in Japan".

It had been claimed that Antonio Pizzonia would replace Ralf in the final races, as a result of a disagreement following the German's decision to retire from the race.

Although the WilliamsF1 pit crew decided that Ralf could continue, following a collision with David Coulthard, the German opted to retire from the race: "Too much time had elapsed by then," he said, "and it was too late to get out on track again, because I would have been two laps down."
