BIOGRAPHY

Felipe started his career in Brazilian karting in 2008, when he was 8 years old, and continued competing in Brazil until he was 13.

From 2013 to 2015 he participated in international karting races, racing in top teams such as ART Grand Prix and Kosmic Racing, achieving strong results in the most important international championships.

2016 marked by Felipe's debut in single-seaters when he competed in the German ADAC Formula 4 Championship and the MRF Challenge 2016/17 in the Middle East, in which he secured a victory in Dubai.

In 2017, he was third in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship, his 7 victories making him the driver with the most wins of the season.

At the end of the year, he contested the last round FIA F3 Championship at Hockenheim as well as the last round of the Euroformula Open in Barcelona, in which he debuted with pole position and victory.

In 2018 Felipe won the MRF Challenge 2017/2018 with 10 wins, while in the Euroformula F3 Open championship, contested with the Italian team RP Motorsport, he title in the 12th race at Monza, courtesy of 14 victories in 16 races, and 2 second places, a record number of victories in the history of this championship.

In 2019, he contested the FIA Formula 3 Championship, however the year was marred by various difficulties especially in set-up, making it difficult for him to produce any outstanding results.

For 2020, he moved up to Formula 2 with MP Motorsport, and achieved some surprising results, claiming 3 victories in his season debut.

The following year, following his win at Spielberg, he claimed his first pole position at Silverstone and another win at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

In the 11th and penultimate round of the championship, in Bahrain, Felipe claimed his third win, going on to secure another podium result in Abu Dhabi.

The Yas Marina event was somewhat controversial - much like that year's F1 Grand Prix - for as Felipe battled for third position with the Nikita Mazepin, he was 'squeezed' by Russian during his attempts to overtake. At the flag, Felipe was fourth however, the stewards subsequently punished the Russian driver for his unsportsmanlike attitude and Felipe was promoted to third.

Only four drivers ended the year with more than two wins. Of these, only two were rookies. And Felipe was one of them.

For 2022, Felipe rejoined the MP Motorsport team and secured the championship at Monza, the first Brazilian to achieve the feat, with wins at Jeddah, Barcelona, Monaco and Zandvoort.

That same weekend, Felipe was announced as reserve driver for Aston Martin for 2023, the youngster contesting the post-season test in Abu Dhabi with the British team.

In February, he replace the injured Lance Stroll in pre-season testing at Barcelona, the youngster posting the 12th best time of the 3-day test.
