United States Grand Prix: Practice team notes - Racing Bulls

Alan Permane: "It's been a good day.

"We have a new aero package on the car, comprising a new floor, bodywork and front and rear wings on both cars, which is working as expected. We can make some improvements to the balance of both cars overnight, but the numbers look encouraging overall. Our pace for both short and long runs look decent, so it will be small tweaks for FP3 tomorrow. The track presents a few challenges, with the hot temperatures leading to more tyre degradation than we'd like, while track limits can also be tricky here. It's easy to get it wrong, so I'm sure that'll be a topic both in Qualifying and during Sunday's race. Arvid does have a five-place engine penalty this weekend due to a new internal combustion engine. However, we're not changing his run plan; the objective, as always, is to qualify as high as possible. We've got a little bit of work to do overnight to ensure we're in a strong position tomorrow."

Liam Lawson: "I enjoyed being on track today. We've brought some upgrades this weekend, so the car is feeling quick, and I believe there's still more to unlock with some fine tuning. There's definitively more degradation than we expected, but it normally comes down throughout the weekend, so we'll assess what it's like tomorrow. I love driving here, so am looking forward to Quali where we'll be pushing for Q3."

Arvid Lindblad: "It's a really cool track here in Austin, and I've definitely enjoyed driving it thanks to its great flow. Overall, it's been a day of ups and downs. We made a good start in FP2, although I struggled a little to find the rhythm on the Soft tyre. Our pace on the short runs has been good, but we still have some work to do on the long runs. We've identified a direction to follow, which will hopefully help us find more performance. A big thank you to everyone in the team for the incredible work they're putting in and for bringing the new upgrades this weekend. I'm looking forward to building on today's work and making further progress over the rest of the weekend."
