As pre-season testing comes to an end, Pirelli has revealed the tyre compounds to be used at the Spanish and Canadian Grand Prix.

In Spain, the supersoft, soft and mediums will be used, as opposed to the soft, medium and hard used in 2017 and 2016.

One set of medium and one set of softs must be available for the race and one of them must be used at some point in the race, while the supersoft is the assigned tyre for Q3 in qualifying.

In Canada, the hypersoft, ultrasoft and supersoft will be used, as opposed to the ultrasoft, supersoft and soft used in 2017 and 2016.

This will mark the hypersoft's first race weekend appearance of the year, the compound that, as of Thursday night, had been used by Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo to post the two quickest times in pre-season testing.

One set of supersofts and one set of ultrasofts must be available for the race and one of them must be used at some point in the race, while the hypersoft is the assigned tyre for Q3 in qualifying.
