"2005 - 3L V-10 (unlimited rev) motors + gumball Michelin tires + 3 more practices = 2.8 seconds over today's 1.6L V-6 on a first practice on a dirty track. Yada yada yada . . . (Of course there are many other pluses and minuses that would fill pages; but just like at Indy, Daytona, and Le Mans, the eras of unrestrained speed advancement are over. Just ask Mark Weber how much faster he wants to be "flying" down (up, over?) the Mulsanne straight ;-)

Give credit where credit is due; and we'll see what the times are at the end of practice or IF we can actually get a decent qualifying session with the new rules. (There is the real disappointment!)"
