Sutil confident he will keep seat

Adrian Sutil is confident that his seat at Force India is safe despite the fact that Genii Capital CEO Eric Lux has filed an official legal complaint against him for grievous bodily harm.

Earlier today it was revealed by the Munich state prosecutor that Lux has now officially filed a legal complaint against the German following an incident that took place in a nightclub in Shanghai on the night of the Chinese Grand Prix.

Details of what happened remain unclear, though Lux was left with scarring on his neck. Sutil had since admitted that he was involved in an incident but claimed he had "hurt another person completely unintentionally". It is now up to the Munich state prosecutor to decide whether there is enough evidence for a trial.

Speaking in Valencia today, having only just heard that Lux is proceeding with the complaint, Sutil said he had yet to receive any details in writing.

"It depends on what is the truth," he told reporters. "We want to hear the truth, and we hope we are going to know that very soon.

"The story came out this morning," he added. "To be honest, I didn't read it until the last few minutes prior to speaking to you guys. You know before me, that's your job.

"Of course, it's a bit strange it has taken so long, but now it's out, let's see. Everything else we will find out. First of all I have to know what is going on. I will speak with my manager and see what is next.

"This is a private matter, my job is driving," added Sutil. "I'm fine, I am able to focus on my job. I was prepared for whatever was coming, it was just funny that it took so long... We want the truth, absolutely. I hope it will come to light soon. I am ready to defend myself."

Speaking last month, Force India boss Vijay Mallya said he would look at the matter "if and when he (Sutil) is charged".
