After three rounds, the thirteen GP2 Series teams make a stop at Le Castellet for the last test session until the end of the 2008 season. Only 23 drivers participated in this session with Adrian Valles (BCN Competicion) currently in Le Mans, Davide Valsecchi (Durango) still recovering, and FMS International running only with Roldan Rodriguez.

Pastor Maldonado (right) was the quickest this morning in a 1:13.291 at the wheel of his Piquet Sports car. The Venezuelan is closely followed by Bruno Senna who is currently co-leading the championship alongside Giorgio Pantano. In third, Andreas Zuber finishes in front of Javier Villa. Karun Chandhok completes the Top 5.

GP2 Technical director, Didier Perrin said: "This morning, we have tested four different engine- gearbox strategy upgrades on four different cars. As we are very satisfied with the results we will try them on a larger number of cars this afternoon in order to obtain this evening a common strategy which we will validate on all cars tomorrow."
