Filip Salaquarda (right) is to race in all remaining races of the 2007/2008 A1GP season. The Prague native has experience from four F3 seasons, one year in the German Recaro cup and three seasons in the prestigious Euroseries. He already knows the A1GP car, having managed to finish in the points in Shanghai last year. The 24-four-year-old recently tested the Champcar Atlantic single-seater and is looking forward to returning to the World Cup of Motorsport.

Filip is one of the most experienced single-seater drivers in the Czech Republic. He raced not only in F3 but also with both F3000 and International Formula Master cars. His father Igor has been boss of the I.S.R. team for many years and the team has competed in prestigious European series.

Filip Salaquarda: "I am very happy that I will do all three remaining events of the A1GP season. I do not know the track in Mexico but I am allowed to participate in the rookie test, so I should learn the track quickly. I raced in the A1GP in Shanghai last year and got a point for 10th place in the Feature race. Also Bands hatch is no stranger to me, at least the shorter version because I raced there in the F3 Euroseries. I am really looking forward to all races because I fell that I am well prepared. I did few Formula Atlantic tests in Florida and also did a physical training. I will not race in the States this season because the team did not fulfil their promises, so I am fully focused on the A1GP. I hope that I will not disappoint Antonin Charouz's faith in me."
