Paffett to Honda?

NEWS STORY
17/10/2006

According to reports in the Finnish media, most notably Turun Sanomat, Gary Paffett's manager, Martin Brundle, is seeking to get the English driver a (test) seat with Honda next season.

There is widespread speculation that Paffett's time with McLaren is nearing its end, with the former DTM Champion having reportedly been told that he is free to look elsewhere for a role in 2007.

With the Woking team clearly focussing on whether to put Pedro de la Rosa or Lewis Hamilton in the second Vodafone sponsored car, alongside Fernando Alonso, next season, and Anthony Davidson said to be heading to Super Aguri, Brundle is reported to be in talks with the Brackley-based team regarding the 25-year-old

There has been speculation linking Paffett with Spyker, but this is thought to be a pay-drive, and therefore not something that the Englishman, or his management, will be interested in.
