Sean McIntosh and Patrick Carpentier were on-hand to see A1 Team Canada's A1GP car displayed in Canada for the very first time as it stole the limelight on Montreal's St. Laurent Boulevard during the Grand Prix festivities last weekend, 22nd-25th June.

Famous for its restaurants and bars, St. Laurent Boulevard is one of the places to be seen in Montreal and put simply it formed the perfect backdrop for A1 Team Canada's A1GP car as it literally stopped people in their tracks as they took in the sight of the stunning maple-leaf racer and the action and excitement of A1GP being broadcast on the large-screen display.

Friday night saw A1 Team Canada drivers Sean McIntosh and Patrick Carpentier joined at the stage for an autograph session by Marc Gagnon, Canada's second most decorated Winter Olympian and four-time Short Track Speed Skating World Champion. Gagnon, from Chicoutimi, Québec, in addition to winning three Olympic gold medals, is a huge motorsport fan and jumped at the opportunity to see the A1GP car while it was in Montreal.

McIntosh, Carpentier and Gagnon spent an hour at the display signing autographs and having their pictures taken as the passing public was introduced to the sights and sounds of the A1 Grand Prix of Nations.

They weren't the only ones interested as McIntosh and Carpentier fulfilled a string of media engagements to coincide with the A1GP car being in town. Sean McIntosh was invited in to Global TV's ‘This Morning Live' program last Thursday to talk about his A1 Team Canada commitments and his famous last-to-first victory for his country in Indonesia. In addition he dropped in to Grand Prix Karting on Friday morning where he appeared on ‘Terry, Ted and Kim in the Morning' on CHOM 97.7FM as the city's leading breakfast show broadcast from the kart track to get into the sprit of the Grand Prix weekend.

McIntosh later fulfilled further radio commitments, this time on Crescent Street as he stopped by CJAD, Montreal's premier news and sports talk radio show, before appearing on Tim Morgan's afternoon show, again on CHOM 97.7FM. Patrick Carpentier, who raced for A1 Team Canada in the final three rounds of the inaugural season, was no less busy with an appearance alongside his team-mate on CJAD as well as press interviews with the Toronto Sun and Montreal Gazette before a TV appearance on Sunday morning on RDI.
