Jordan: Nothing has been done at this stage

Moments after signing one of his own team shirts, to be auctioned in the Pitpass Tsunami Auction, Eddie Jordan confirmed that contrary to various media reports a deal has not been done with Midland F1 owner Alex Shnaider, which would see his team change hands.

"I've always held talks on an ongoing basis with people interested in taking the team forward," said the Irishman. "Nothing has been done at this stage but I have met Alex a couple of times and I like him.

"I believe he would gain something from an involvement with Jordan," he continued, "and he is certainly someone who would be able to help the team become more competitive."

Meanwhile, having taken the shirt from Eddie's back - who would have thought it? - said item will appear on the Pitpass Tsunami Auction page on Ebay within the next 24-hours.
