British GP tickets to go on sale

NEWS STORY
15/12/2004

Less than a week after it was confirmed that Britain will host a round of the 2005 Formula One World Championship, the Northamptonshire circuit has revealed its ticket prices for the event.

Contrary to widespread fears, brought about by the increased contribution the circuit's owners, the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC), has to make to the coffers of Mr Bernard Ecclestone, ticket prices have not been significantly increased, nor is there a major shift towards the hospitality market. Indeed, the circuit is offering more of what it describes as "prime viewing places" for race fans.

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday 16 December, and in an effort to get fans to book early will be offered at a special reduced rate.

A three-day 'General Admission' ticket will cost £95 for adults and £35 for children.

These reduced prices will only be valid until 31 January 2005.

After that date, the 'General Admission' ticket price will increase to £135 (£45 children), with Grandstand seats costing up to £269 for Gold 4 (children £119).
