NEWS STORY
06/11/2026

Rookie Rafael Camara gets a reprimand for unnecessarily impeding Charles Leclerc.

The stewards heard that the Brazilian youngster was warned multiple times that the Ferrari was arriving on a fast lap.

Yet, the Haas driver was weaving and moving well on to the racing line.

Consequently, Leclerc had to take evading action to avoid a collision by moving to the right, with a significant amount his car going off the track.

According to the stewards, the situation that was created was clearly dangerous and Camara should have taken more care to avoid impeding the Ferrari.

While the typical penalty for impeding in a free practice session is a warning, in this instance, the stewards were of the view that a reprimand was warranted.
