There is clearly only one logical way to sort out the Lotus naming row

We like the idea of Tony Fernandes' Team Lotus outfit, what with him having bought the name from David Hunt, brother of 1976 world champion James. We also like the idea of Tony's team - which proudly sports the late Colin Chapman's cap on the pitwall - changing from the iconic green and yellow livery to the equally iconic colours of black and gold.

Then again, we like the idea of Proton, in the form of Group Lotus, buying into the Renault F1 team renaming it Lotus Renault GP and running it in the iconic black and gold colours of Chapman's legendary John Player Specials.

But which do we like best.... there's only one way to find out...

For readers outside the UK, this refers to a segment in a popular British TV show called TV Burp which is hosted by the English comedian Harry Hill who, as it happens, was born in Woking.

The programme takes a light hearted and satirical look at the preceding week's various TV programmes often showing up just how bad they really are.

As Wikipedia explains: "Ahead of the advert break, Hill arranges 'fights' which attempt to determine which of two people or things from a scene are "best", such as "babies or cats" (from an episode of The Apprentice), "chicken or turkey", "White Rat or Brown Rat" (from a nature documentary), "Mars or meat" (from Life on Mars) or even "Jesus or Hitler".

"After making the comparison, Hill's signature tagline follows: "But which is better? (A) or (B)? There's only one way to find out... FIGHT!!!", at which point two actors representing the characters of the comparison appear from either side and engage in a wrestling match while Hill goads them on (usually favouring one specific party). After the commercial break, the show continues as normal, making no reference to the fight or who won it."

So, as we said, we like Tony Fernandes' outfit but we also like Proton's Group Lotus, but which do we like best...
