Ecclestone fears for Super Aguri

Ahead of a crucial meeting this week, which could decide the future of Super Aguri, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has admitted that he is fearful for the Japanese outfit's prospects.

The Leafield based outfit recently revealed that a proposed Dubai-backed bid which would see the team taken over by the Magma Group had fallen through, plunging the popular outfit into crisis.

With fears that the team might not be able to contest the Spanish GP, it was thought that the F1 grid might revert to ten teams once again.

However, while admitting his concerns for the team, Ecclestone admits that he was instrumental in Super Aguri taking part at Barcelona.

"They don't look in very good shape at the moment, unfortunately," he told Reuters. "I want them to stay, I've been helping them the last week," he added.
