Luca Filippi topped today’s test session in Dubai in preparation of the opening of the 2008 GP2 Asia Series next weekend.

At the wheel of his Qi-Meritus Mahara car, the Italian set the fastest lap time in the three-hour morning session, ahead of ART Grand Prix driver Romain Grosjean and the two iSport drivers, Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok.

In the afternoon session, Grosjean, quickest ahead of Adrian Valles. Bruno Senna completed the Top 3 while his team-mate, Chandhok, finished 5th. Splitting the iSport drivers was DAMS Kamui Kobayashi.

There is a one-day break on Monday before testing resumes on Tuesday.
