Fry confirms Alperin-Bruvera's departure

Honda team boss Nick Fry has confirmed that chief aerodynamicist Mariano Alperin-Bruvera has left the team, a move first reported by Pitpass at the beginning of the month.

As we previously reported, Alperin-Bruvera is likely to head to BMW where he will work alongside another former Honda man, Willem Toet.

Though the Brackley based outfit has made much of several new signings, including Loic Bigois from Williams and John Owen from BMW, it has remained remarkably quiet regarding a number of significant departures.

Interestingly, Pitpass sources are concerned that the Bigois/Owen relationship could end in further tears for the Japanese team, with some speculating that Owen's ego could cause friction.

There is continued speculation over the future of Operation Manager Gary Savage, with many believing that he will follow Paul Field to Red Bull.
