Duran wants another podium

For the fifth round of the second season of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, the series returns to Indonesia and Mexican driver Salvador Duran (right) wants a repeat podium result at the 4.12-Km. Sentul International Circuit, after last year's third place effort in the Sprint race.

"Sentul is one of the tracks from last season that I liked most and I felt very comfortable driving there. It is a facility at world level like Malaysia or Shanghai. However the Indonesian track has a shorter length than those others. I like to drive out there and the grip is good. I feel that we get there in a good time, since A1 Team Mexico and I want to be again at the top of the point standings. We are working hard to achieve that goal," Salvador Duran said.

"Last year we had mixed weather conditions during the weekend. In qualifying I was improving my times each session and maybe we could be able to challenge the pole, but in the last session the rainy conditions didn't help. I eventually left Indonesia with a podium, as a result of my third place finish in the Sprint race," he added.

Questioned about his main rivals, he said: "As usually it is hard to say. Each and everyone are preparing to improve their performance and we are doing so too. A1 Team Mexico is looking forward to do a good job at Indonesia and I too," the Mexico City native said.

On the other hand, Mexican rookie driver Sergio Perez said: "We come from a difficult weekend and we will try to improve our performance this weekend. We are at the middle of the championship and we still can do a lot to have a good performance."

And he added: "The team is well prepared and we are going to work the get as much points as possible. I want to thank my sponsors and A1 Team directors for their support. We are working hard to deliver the results that our country deserves."
