Stoddart should get out of F1 says Bernie

NEWS STORY

In the wake of the Melbourne Minardi madness, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has called on team boss Paul Stoddart to follow Eddie Jordan's example and sell up.

Clearly unhappy at recent events in Melbourne - but also delighted with the ever-welcome publicity his sport is receiving - Ecclestone has told Stoddart to sell up and ship out.

"Paul's been a bit of a nuisance since day one," he told The Sun, "but we have protected him.

"Regretfully, there is now no place in F1 for someone like him," he continued. "If you can't sustain running a team then you should get out. That's precisely what dear old Eddie Jordan did and that's what Paul should be doing.

"This is an expensive game to be sitting in on and if you can't afford the ante you shouldn't take part in the school."

Ouch!
