Monaco issues GP timetable

NEWS STORY
27/01/2005

The timetable for this year's Monaco Grand Prix, scheduled for May 22, has been announced, giving us a basic idea of how the 2005 timetable should look.

Thursday 19 May

11.00-12.00 F1
12.30-1.00 F3
14.00-15.00 F1
16.00-16.30 Formula Renault
17.00-17.30 Porsche

Friday 20 May

08.00-08.30 F3 Qualifying
09.00-09.30 Practice GP2
10.00-10.30 Qualifying GP2
11.20-12.05 Porsche Qualifying

Saturday 21 May

09.00-09.45 F1
10.15-11.00 F1

11.25 Porsche Supercup
13.00-14.00 F1 Qualifying
14.30 40th F3 race (24 laps)
16.00 GP2
17.30-18.10 Formula Renault Qualifying

Sunday 22 May

10.00-11.00 F1 Qualifying
11.20 Formula Renault race (25 laps)
14.00 63rd GP (78 laps)

You'll note that in Monaco there is only one GP2 race, whereas it is understood that each other round will consist of two races.

Furthermore there is a Formula Renault race after the main qualifying session, and before the Grand Prix.

That said, we seriously doubt whether the proposed qualifying format will still be in place by the time the F1 'circus' arrives in the Principality.
