Jordan says, no deal done

NEWS STORY
04/09/2004

Despite claims in two British, and one Irish, newspapers that Jordan was "days away" from a deal with a Dubai-based consortium, we are still waiting to hear that said deal has been done.

On Tuesday, the Irish Independent reported that Jordan was "set to have final talks tomorrow", while on Thursday, under the headline "Jordan sold to Dubai royal family", Kevin Garside in the Daily Telegraph claimed that the deal will be concluded this week. On the same day, The Times reported that EJ was on the verge of concluding the deal.

Interestingly, talking on Irish station RTE on Friday evening, team boss Eddie Jordan admitted that no such deal has been signed, adding that such a deal is needed or his team is finished. He than added that he is not in F1 "to make up the numbers".

Could this be another case of, "you've got the deal"... not?

We should be told.
