"Anyone else think Bottas was told to hold back on challenging Hamilton for 2nd place considering the pace he had catching up to Lewis?"

"Yes we have a Ferrari that beat the Mercedes but no we have no reason to cheer because at least 4 drivers that were involved in "close racing" stated that as soon as you get as near as withing two seconds of the guy in front, the drag is so fierce that you have no grip and there is no way you can get any nearer or pass the guy at unless you ave a big difference in speed or a car in trouble in front of you (like Alonoso's car). This means that with the current DRS rule (only to use when you get within a second) it will not work. Therefore this has to be changed to within two seconds and this means we will only be able to see artificial super Mario cart overtaking manouvres. It was clear from the moment that the new regulations were decided that this was going to happen. To improve racing you have to REDUCE aerodynamics, not increase it. This is something almost all technicians knew at the time but still this lame compromise was created because some teams vetoed the reduction of aerodynamics... Therefore dear Chase Carey, get rid of the Strategy Group and get a rule creating body in place where no competitor has a say and secondly reduce aerodynamics directly inseason and replace it with groundeffect to compensate it. Then get rid of DRS as it has nothing to do with racing. It is the same for all teams ot adapt, so no need to wait for next season. "
