US GP is a 'blank' for Ralf

Talking to Germany's Bild newspaper, Ralf Schumacher has revealed that he can remember nothing of last Sunday's high-speed crash at Indianapolis.

"I saw images on the hospital television and that's it," said the German, when asked what he could remember of the incident. "I can't remember anything else.. except for perhaps the start of the race.

"I can't remember how, where or when," he continued. "There's nothing there. It's as if the scenes of the accident have been erased."

As speculations mounts as to whether he will compete in the French GP (July 4), the German said that he simply wants to take it 'one step at a time': "Right now I need some rest," he said, "just rest. At the earliest, in a few days, I'll be able to say what's going to happen next.

"I had a severe concussion and a large bruise on my back," he revealed, "that's what hurts the most. I try to sit rather than stand up or walk.

"At the moment, I'm definitely not thinking about motor racing," he admitted, "I just want to go home. I want to go to my wife and son."
