Red Bull breaks curfew

21/07/2012

Red Bull became the second team to break the curfew this weekend after team members worked in to the small hours of Saturday morning on Mark Webber's car.

The FIA released a bulletin this morning confirming Red Bull had worked beyond the allowed curfew cut off, with the team admitting it was to "complete checks" on Webber's gearbox.

Red Bull is the second team to have broken the curfew this weekend, on Thursday Lotus mechanics stayed late fitting new parts to Kimi Raikkonen's car, believed to be the rear wing system the Finn tested during practice yesterday.

Teams are allowed four exceptions to the curfew rules during the season, both Lotus and Red Bull are using their first of those this weekend.
