Trulli heads Lotus wish list

09/12/2009

Lotus team principal Tony Fernandes has said that his team will name its driver line-up next week, while admitting that Jarno Trulli heads the team's wish list.

Speaking in Monaco, where he is attending the 2009 Motor Sport Business Forum, Fernandes, when asked about his team's line-up, would only say: "I hope within the next week or so we will announce the line-up".

He subsequently confirmed that Jarno Trulli is number one on a four-man shopping list that also includes Malaysian hot-shot Fairuz Fauzy. However, a couple of hundred thousand hearts were broken when he admitted that 1997 world champion is not being considered.

Other than Trulli, who has worked with technical director Mike Gascoyne before, Spanish veteran Pedro de la Rosa is also believed to be under consideration.
