Vatanen "marched" from Mosley's office

FIA presidential hopeful Ari Vatanen is said to have been "marched" out of Max Mosley's office in Monaco after attempting to discuss the electoral process.

The Guardian reports that the Finn, who was in Monaco for the Sportel conference, had been invited to meet Mosley. However, the meeting came to an abrupt end when Vatanen tried to discuss the process for next week's election.

It is understood that the 210 FIA voters who will decide who is to lead the organization for the next five years will receive their ballot papers in envelopes marked with their names. However, when Vatanen suggested that the papers should be handed out at random Mosley is said to have told him "I am not arguing with you" before marching him from his office.

In recent weeks there has been widespread concern regarding the integrity of the electoral process, a situation not helped when Mosley wrote to Prince Feisal of Jordan warning of "repercussions" for those that vote for Vatanen.
