Muckrakers beware

NEWS STORY
24/08/2006

Following a number of rather lurid reports in the media in recent days, most of them originating in Germany and Italy, and subsequently picked up - as ever - by a number of F1 websites, Kimi Raikkonen has said that there is no truth to the stories and that he will be taking legal action against those who have spread them.

Asked if there was any truth in the allegations, the Finn told reporters in Turkey: "I read that I have lost my driving licence by driving and drinking. I don't know who wrote this story but for sure, he will get an interesting outcome from this and we will see what happens."

Asked to confirm that the allegations are inaccurate, the McLaren driver responded: "For sure we will see in the courts."
