Ecclestone injured in freak accident?

NEWS STORY

Pitpass has received unconfirmed reports that Formula One Supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, has been injured in a freak accident at his London home.

Although details are somewhat sketchy, it's understood that the 75-year-old was injured, having dropped a mug of scalding hot coffee into his lap. This came about as he attempted to read the story on Pitpass about Valentino Rossi challenging Fernando Alonso to a series of head-to-heads.

A source claims that whilst clutching the mug of coffee, and reading the Pitpass article, Ecclestone is understood to have attempted to use up to seven different telephones as he tried to tie up the global commercial rights to the proposed 'duel'.

Despite being in obvious agony, the boiling hot coffee seeping through his clothing and onto his nether regions, Ecclestone is understood to have managed to crawl up the seven flights of stairs to his fax machine, where he subsequently fired off twenty-seven contracts.
