Trouble at Sauber?

NEWS STORY
29/05/2005

We hear that there was a furious exchange of words, indeed "a serious shouting match" between team boss Peter Sauber and his driver Felipe Massa last night.

Massa was one of several drivers, including Jenson Button and Mark Webber, who drove race fans and corporate guests around the Nurburgring, effectively giving them an F1 taxi ride.

At the end of the session, Massa went out in team member Beat Zehnder's Subaru with the ention of doing a few laps.

Unfotunately, the car's brakes failed and the hapless Brazilian, "had to use the crash barriers in order to slow the car".

Although nobody was hurt in the incident, other than the Brazilian's wounded pride, Massa is understood to have been seriously blasted by his team boss.

This comes only days after Sauber summoned both of his drivers to the team's Hinwil HQ in order to give them both a reprimand for their performance in Monaco.
