Preston Racing has moved into the brand new Silverstone Innovation Centre at the Northamptonshire race circuit; situated in the heart of the UK's motorsport industry.

The move provides a flexible base for Mark Preston and his management team to plan Preston Racing's entry into Formula One.

'The move will strengthen the team, and allow us to move forward at a motorsports pace', said Mark Preston. 'There is a long way to go towards our goal of entry into F1 and we are currently looking at other highprofile
programmes including Le Mans and the WTCC'.

Finance Director, Michael Boon says, 'Moving to Silverstone improves the credibility of the investment opportunity that Preston Racing represents and we are currently seeking investors and commercial partners to share in our vision of running internationally competitive motorsports programmes.

Whilst Preston Racing's ultimate aim is to enter Formula One, they intend to leverage their combined expertise in motorsport engineering, design, IT, logistics and international marketing to exploit commercial opportunities
identified in other areas such as automotive manufacturing, aerospace and new media.

'Working at the Silverstone Innovation Centre will allow us to work on technology transfer to the automotive and aerospace sectors using our extensive composites design experience', said Design Director, Dr Rob Neumann.

Recently opened for business, the Innovation Centre will house up to 40 high performance start-up companies as well as more established, growing businesses operating in motorsport and related industries. It will also generate year-round business for the race circuit and provide a major boost to the UK's burgeoning motorsport industry, which boasts 2,200 businesses and an annual turnover of £4.6 billion, locally, regionally and nationally.

Kevin Lee, Operations Director thinks that the move to the purpose built centre is of strategic importance, 'Being in the centre of motorsports in the UK will allow us to work more closely with the vast array of suppliers, manufacturers and circuits on our doorstep'.
