Weather causes problems at Silverstone

21/02/2005

Freezing temperatures and intermittent snow showers prevented Renault from completing any useful running during today’s test session at Silverstone. The circuit remained closed for much of the day, and Franck Montagny completed just three laps during the afternoon, conducting installation laps and systems checks.

The team will remain at Silverstone tomorrow, hoping for improved conditions in order to conduct pit-stop practice with Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella. Franck Montagny will also be present, and the team hopes to run an acclimatisation programme for his first full run in the R25.
