Vettel to join Hamilton in press conference

Sebastian Vettel will join Lewis Hamilton at the Thursday press conference in Austin.

The German does not have a social media presence, much like his laconic Ferrari teammate Kimi Raikkonen, and will therefore be enthralled to sit alongside Hamilton at tomorrow's press conference.

Two weeks ago in Japan, Hamilton upset reporters when he was discovered to be using Snapchat to interact with fans and criticise the press conference and its format.

In the wake of criticism from sections of the media the Briton subsequently walked out of Mercedes own press conference after qualifying accusing some journalists of disrespect and claiming that the appearance would be his last.

However, in the wake of the subsequent media backlash, Hamilton is in front of the press for an unprecedented second race running, sure to be asked questions about event in Suzuka.

Vettel, known for his quick, British sense of humour, is sure to be on good form, no doubt keen to see if Hamilton can use Snapchat to give him the look of a seagull.

Joining the pair are Valtteri Bottas, Romain Grosjean, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen.

Friday sees Hamilton's boss Toto Wolff on duty, the Austrian sure to be asked not only about Hamilton's attitude in Japan but also claims made by Ross Brawn in a newly published book in which the Briton says he left Mercedes because he did not trust him or Niki Lauda.

They will be joined by Cyril Abiteboul, Maurizio Arrivabene, Christian Horner, Monisha Kaltenborn and Gene Haas, ahead of the American's inaugural home race with his team.
