NEWS STORY
24/01/2014

Caterham has revealed its test schedule for next week's opening pre-season test at Jerez.

Rookie Marcus Ericsson will be at the wheel for the first two days (Tuesday and Wednesday), before handing over to Test & Reserve driver, Robin Frijns on Thursday.

Surprisingly, Kamui Kobayashi will only have one day at the wheel of the CT04, the Japanese driver rounding off the four day test on Friday.

"I read today that Tony Fernandes has issued an ultimatum to the team that if they don't improve and score points this season he will pull the plug. Well having just seen the test schedule for Jerez they are already carrying on where they left off last season. Why give Kamui only one day in the car when it is obvious he is the only one of the two drivers who has any chance of getting them elusive points. If i was in charge at Caterham i would give Kamui 3 days in that car so he can give as much feedback and knowledge of the new car to the designers and engineers as he has lots of experience and a podium finish in a modern day F1 car. It seems to me Caterham have not learned anything in the four years they have been in F1."
