Williams team to honour Ginny Williams

14/03/2013

There are heavy hearts at Williams this weekend after the team's self-appointed number-one fan died last week.

Lady Virginia 'Ginny' Williams, wife of team founder Sir Frank and mother to board member Claire, succumbed to cancer last Friday.

With the Williams family remaining in England, Technical Director Mike Coughlin is acting as temporary Team Principal at this weekend's Australian Grand Prix until Claire Williams returns. "It's for this weekend only," Coughlin stated. "It's very much a temporary measure."

Coughlin added that the team hopes to wear black armbands during Sunday's as it pays its respects to 'Ginny'.
